Hospital Alliance Services (HAS) is a value-added service to facilitate medical insurance claims for your patients who have a medical insurance with Prudential, at no additional charge.
While a normal claims process of your policy requires your patients to settle the hospital bills first, and submit their claims to Prudential for reimbursement* later, the HAS facility enables them to enjoy pre-authorization* of claim for medical related expenses incurred at any of our panel hospitals. The preauthorization* of claims means that their hospital bills will be paid* directly to the hospital by us subject to your policy benefits. It adds convenience and allows them to focus on recovery.
For new Prudential medical policyholder, the HAS facility is available should they require hospitalization due to injuries caused by accident, or from the fourth (4th) month of their policy cover date for hospitalization due to non-accidental reasons.
HAS facility is subject to availability and change by Prudential from time to time. If pre-authorization* of a claim through HAS is not provided, it does not necessarily mean that the claim is not payable. The patient may still submit his/her claim to Prudential through the normal claims process.
